I had knee surgery two years ago, and unfortunately due the severity of the injury and some complications that occurred afterwards, my knee needs continuous support whenever I plan on walking for more than 20 minutes in a row. This brand is not only the best I have ever used, but the price is more reasonable than most other knee supports I've used in the past. The material on this one is different. It conforms to my knee, stays tight, but still allows my skin to breathe so it is not a bother to wear it for hours at a time.Next to the back, knee injuries are the absolute worse injury to have. I have found that I require knee braces when walking or standing for an extended period of time. I am also overweight, so the size of the support must be large enough for my knee. For a while, I had difficulty finding knee braces that fit me and didn't break the bank. No local stores carried them. The Yasco Knee Support fit the ticket with flying colors.Some notes about the product: 1) Two other braces that I had been using used to chafe behind the leg unless I used a handkerchief as a cushion. The Yasco is comfortable and has only caused a slight chafing one time so far. 2) The Velcro tends to weaken after a year or two of use, causing the straps to slip. Yasco provides a generous Velcro tab of over 2" x 2" to maintain a solid hold.
